A & C Medical is a Family owned and operated business run by the Schuck Family and managed by brothers Todd & Craig Schuck. Todd Schuck is responsible for all sales, marketing and new business development while Craig Schuck manages all operational aspects of the business. Jan and Gayle Schuck, semi-retired in California, handle new business development projects.
At the top of our organization, we rely on the wisdom and advice of our "Chief Medical Advisor" - Aurora Calabrese our "Sweetie Nana" who, at 96 years old, lives, independently in the comfort of her own home in East Hartford, CT. The oldest remaining sibling of Italian imigrants our Nana is an inspiration whose main goal in her remaining life, is to never be forced into a Nursing Home. With the help and support of her family, we intend to make sure her wishes are carried through and that she is able to live her remaining years of life in the comfort and familiar surrounding of her home of 48 years.
Since taking over ownership of A & C Medical in 2009, the Schuck brothers have expanded the offering of what was once a local Medical Supply Store. In business and serving Connecticut residents since 1993, A & C Medical Supplies and Equipment Inc. offers a comprehensive line of Home Medical Equipment Supplies, Services and Home Modifications.
Adaptive home remodeling and modifications has become an integral part of our business model as A&C Medical has transitioned to become a full service Home Medical Equipment and Supply company. We not only provide the equipment, we'll modify the home and install anything from bathroom safety grab bars, railings and ramp systems to stair and ceiling free lift systems.
Our goal as to help people live independently in the comfort of their homes for as long as time and good health permit by providing the the best and most affordable home medical equipment and supplies. Along with providing all types of Home Medical Equipment & Supplies, we perform adaptive modifications and remodeling projects as well.
We do everything from installing bathroom safety grab bars to more elaborate bathroom safety remodeling where we install walk-in bathtubs and convert old tubs into safe, walk in shower systems. In addition, we can also install the ultimate alternative to a complete home remodel or forced move into a skilled nursing facility with the Practical Assisted Living Structure (PALS).
The Practical Assisted Living Structure (PALS), is a Pre-Fab built In-Law apartment or Suite that can be added onto an existing home or structure creating the most safe and cost effective form of elderly or disabled housing available today!
